Critically acclaimed, classically trained rock, pop and blues-influenced Australian Americana artist Gretta Ziller has accrued two Golden Guitar nominations thus far. Her eclectic sonic palette also draws from the jazz and classical worlds, and while Gretta’s favourite artists and influences – including but not limited to HAIM, Rag’n’Bone Man, Bishop Briggs, Steve Earle and Paul Kelly – filter through her work, she defies comparison and instead chooses to forge her own musical path.
“Music has always been my joy; creating, especially. I can connect and sing the songs that were a part of my life and then they can become a part of somebody else’s life; I think that’s pretty damn special.” Gretta enthuses.
Most recently as the inaugural recipient of the Country Music Association of Australia (CMAA) Academy of Music Scholarship, Gretta is heading over to the U.S. this September to play Nashville’s AmericanaFest just after she releases her 3rd album “All These Walls” August 25th.
Join Gretta Ziller 'live' at Humph Hall for an Intimate Afternoon of Storytelling & Song. Gretta’s music is described as country style storytelling hidden in folk, blues and rock sounds. There will be laughter, tears and good company ... What more could you want on a Saturday afternoon in Sydney?!

"Melbourne-based Americana singer Gretta Ziller is known for her stunning vocals that can lift any song. She melds country, pop and rock music to meld her own unique brand of Americana ... with touches of sassiness informing her personality throughout her music.” - Mary Varvaris, The Music
“First impressions aren’t always right. If you’ve been foolish enough to nail down the sound of acclaimed songwriter Gretta Ziller, then prepare to have the rug pulled out from under you. Queen of Boomtown, her stunning debut record, defies categorisation and demands repeated listens.”
"No matter the mood, Ziller demonstrates an assured sense of melody, building on the promise of ear-catching 2014 EP Hell’s Half Acre. ‘Round and Round’ feels like an instant classic, echoing of the great duets from Cash and Carter to Cave and Harvey."
"For Ziller, the songs are often inspired by emotions rather than common trials and autobiographical tribulations.”
