Delightful, insightful, warm and engaging, Jane’s pure singing voice and award-winning song-writing combined with James’ sensitive rhythm guitar and strong harmonies, capture the essence of Australia’s heart and soul, landscape and humanity. With Jane on accordion, whistles and maracas, and James’ intricate guitar and mandolin, and songs demonstrating a reverence for life, our precious earth and a plea for tolerance and understanding….  ‘You come away from their concerts with your faith in human nature restored.’

Jane’s debut solo album ‘Here’ was released in 2014.

Jane and James are highly respected singing facilitators, sought-after Australia-wide for their warm, inviting style and exceptional skills in getting a group of people singing, laughing, and making gorgeous harmony in minutes.

They have a huge repertoire of songs to share, and specialise in arranging contemporary Australian songs of depth and meaning, for choirs.  They regularly lead festival choirs and singing workshops all over the country, and in 2014 were invited to be Artistic Directors of the Boite Millennium Chorus ‘Gurrong’, featuring Archie Roach and Shane Howard, and which attracted a choir of 400 singers.  The Port Fairy Folk Festival Choir is an annual highlight . . . this year there were 160 people in the choir, singing their hearts out with Yirrmal, and performing a moving tribute to Danny Spooner.

Expect to have a great sing, and go home feeling uplifted, with warmth in your soul and a smile in your heart!

Singing Workshop

James & Jane Workshop.jpgPrior to the concert, at 1pm, Jane & James will lead a singing workshop focussing on contemporary Australian songs of depth and meaning – including some rounds and warm-up songs, leading into singing in 3 and 4-part harmony . . . expect songs of Michael Kennedy, Archie Roach, Yirrmal… exploring our connection to country, celebrating our exquisite land and our place in it.

All welcome (including children – please note, this workshop is not specifically for children . . . but keen singers will enjoy it, whatever their age) – the workshop will be suitable for singers of all levels of experience.

Following the workshop, James and Jane will present a performance of original and carefully chosen songs – their insightful introductions with stories and humour make for a delightful setting to experience moving songs delivered with warmth and beauty in the singing and playing.  The performance will include a song or two from the workshop group!  Come to one or both of the workshop and performance – discount tickets apply for attending both.

The singing workshop last Saturday, I would say is one of the best I have ever attended! The songs that you had chosen were such a good selection and it was such fun and satisfying to get them all to work in that short time!” Di Mackrell, singing leader, Euroa, Vic

Absolutely loved both the workshop and the concert. Jane and James were fantastic. Warm and encouraging and able to facilitate a beautiful feeling of connection. It was such a pleasure to sing with no pressure at the workshop... just for joy. In concert they both shared of themselves and their obvious respect and love for country that I truly felt honoured to have been there. Thankyou x
