From the teacher of Vov Dylan and Hugh Matthews comes the next generation of Australian violin virtuosi!
Come and be blown away by the virtuosic ease of these young prodigy age violinists who are music scholars to schools such as Sydney Grammar, Newington and PLC (Croydon). These violinists have won numerous Eisteddfods, been awarded High Distinctions in performance exams and have led Youth Orchestras. Some have already started their exciting professional careers to industry raves, including Hugh Matthews, who will also make a return appearance to the Hall after receiving standing ovations.
Enjoy their performances of famous virtuosic pieces by the great composers Paganini, Sarasate, Tchaikovsky, Wieniawski and Brahms.
Your compere will be their teacher Evan Elsley, an internationally trained violinist and performer. Evan is a tertiary teacher of performance degrees, an examiner of Diploma candidates for the AMEB, former HSC strings examiner and has held Director of Strings positions internationally. Evan will reference the repertoire in relation to Australian educational performance standards. Evan was also the teacher of Humph Hall’s popular performer, the “world’s fastest violinist” Vov Dylan.
Most importantly, these young violinists are all using a totally new Australian violin method that trains the mind.
