North and Elsewhere
Hazel and Roanna Law were raised on folk music and family harmonies and performed from a young age with their family band. When you're born into folk music, it stays with you. Their songs reflect nature, their childhood, the fast-paced and sometimes harsh world we live in, and the connectedness of all things. In 2025 the duo won the Newcastle regional final of the ListenUp songwriting prize and were finalists for Youth Artist of the Year in the Australian Folk Music Awards. 2026 will see the release of their debut album, recorded with Michael Fix in Brisbane
