Canadian/Australian singer/songwriter Robert Ross was born and raised on the Miramichi River in New Brunswick, Canada. The small town of New Brunswick was a breeding ground for folk songs written from the heart and from life. From an early age he found his love for country music in hearing his mother Betty singing around the house and on the weekends. You were sure to hear country music at any of the local dances or socials. These songs became the basis of his music today.
Robert's style is influenced by country greats Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Randy Travis and other country artists such as Sawyer Brown, as well as good old Rock n' Roll. Robert says “My music comes from life. The good, the bad and the hilarious! This is where we all have something in common”. A fan once told him, “You know who you are; you sing from the inside out. That is your soul talking with your music”.
