Shortly before an election, a spin-doctor and a Hollywood producer join forces to fabricate a war in order to cover up a presidential sex scandal. Directed by Barry Levinson, (Rain Man) & starring Dustin Hoffman & Robert de Niro. Music by Mark Knopfler and featuring Willie Nelson.

A brilliant, Academy award nominated film and winner of several film festival awards, Wag the Dog is very entertaining and funny, and disturbingly accurate for our time! (97mins).

The film features many songs created for the fictitious campaign waged by the protagonists; these songs include "Good Old Shoe", "The American Dream", and "The Men of the 303".

The screening will be followed by a short singalong and afternoon tea.

This film is a taster for The Best Anti War Songs Choir - an 8 wk course starting at the Tramshed in Narrabeen on Thursday 22nd October.   Enq: Kate Maclurcan (0412) 771 394

"The best political satire since Dr. Strangelove!"

"Rarely can film satire make you laugh and be worried about the future at the same time. Levinson's film does just that, with a great cast and great writing, this film succeeds."

"Barry Levinson's "Wag the Dog" is a brilliant piece of satire which is to the 1990s what All the President's Men was to the 1970s."
